About the Artist

Growing up as the child of a professional artist, I have been immersed in art for as long as I can remember. My journey began with oil paints at the age of 7 or 8, and I soon expanded my repertoire to include acrylics, inks, pigment powders, and encaustics. I have had the privilege of studying with talented artists across Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, and Mexico, with each experience deepening my understanding and passion for the craft. Today, my greatest fulfillment comes from sharing the techniques I have acquired over the years and empowering others to explore their artistic paths. While my creations are primarily abstract, the fluidity of my alcohol ink paintings often evokes the beauty of nature and landscapes. I rarely start with a fixed vision of the final piece; instead, I embrace the thrilling spontaneity of paint dancing across a blank canvas, which never ceases to inspire me. Residing in Mexico has profoundly influenced my work, as I draw endless inspiration from the breathtaking beauty that surrounds me. My use of a diverse range of materials—acrylics, inks, enamels, metallic powders, wood, paper, and Plexiglas—allows me to capture energy, movement, and fluidity in each piece. Ultimately, my artwork is a true reflection of who I am, woven together with rich textures, vibrant colors, and innovative mediums that create a compelling visual experience.
